Razak satisfied with teams performance

Coach Abdul Karim Razak of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has expressed satisfaction with the performance of his players in their match against Accra Great Olympics which they won 2-1.

Speaking to the GNA Sports after the match, the "Golden Boy" as he is known in his playing days, said his team keeps on improving match after match because of their consistency in training

He said a much improved performance should be expected in their subsequent matches adding that the team is on course for the future.

The coach was however not impressed with the out-put of Hohoe based referee J.B.K. Akeosu because he allowed many dangerous tackles against his players.

Commenting on his opponents, the "Golden Boy" said he saw an entirely different Olympics side in the game adding that the team played above themselves in order to win the day but Kotoko proved superior.

On the other hand coach Abdul Aziz of Accra Great Olympics felt his team was the better side and deserved to win but due to the biased officiating, they were denied their first three points in the tourney.

Looking dejected after his side had played so well, but lost the match, he said the penalty awarded against them was a bad one, while the referee disallowed a perfect penalty in their favour in the dying minutes of the game.

Coach Aziz said, nothing has changed with the team despite the departure of head coach David Duncan because he is still using the same players being handled by the former coach.

Coach Aziz said they are building a team for the 2003 league season and would continue with it, till a winsome team is assembled.
