Razak did no wrong – Avram Grant

Ghana coach Avram Grant refuses to blame goalkeeper Razak Brimah for the goal conceded in the 7-1 thrashing of Mauritius on Sunday.

The Spanish-based goalkeeper appeared to have lost concentration momentarily to see the Mauritians claw back a goal after Ghana had gone up 4-0.

Brimah has been subtly blamed for the solitary concession but coach Avram Grant chooses to focus on the player’s positives.

“Our goalkeeper kept four clean sheets in six games and he did a very good job,” he said.

“He is one of the best and also the rest of our players.

“Sometimes we make little mistakes but the most important is how we recover.

“Like every game it wasn’t perfect, not even for the best team in the world.

“But I suggest to you to concentrate about the good things because you are a supporter and I am a coach and I will concentrate on the other things.”
