Rashid Bawa is not new GFA boss - Sports Ministry

The Deputy Minister of Education and Sports, Mr Osei Bonsu Amoah has denied reports that the Ministry of Education and Sports is planning on nominating former Minister of State in charge of Sports, Rashid Bawah as the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Chairman if current GFA Chairman, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe steps down.

In an interview with a local radio station, Mr M O.B. Amoah said the government has not come out with any suggestions yet as to who to be nominated for the position of GFA Chairman.

He said the issue of whether government can still nominate a GFA Chairman after the statutes have been reviewed, is up to the GFA Congress to decide.
