Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri says he will not guarantee Jeffrey Schlupp regular playing time at the Foxes but insists he wants the Ghanaian to stay at the club.

The 23-year-old looked to be edging closer to an exit from Leicester after being left out of their squad for opening match defeat at Hull City on Saturday.

Schlupp has been linked with a move to West Brom with the deal to the Baggies expected to be sealed on Monday.

This comes after the Baggies made three offers to sign the Ghana international who is seeking an exit over lacking of playing time.

Ranieri won't guarantee Schlupp playing time but says he wants to have talks with the Ghanaian over his future.

"I can only choose the first 11," Ranieri said when asked about Schlupp's future.

"He, of course, wants to play and I can't say yes, you can play every match. Then we see what happens.

"We will speak together."
