Randy Abbey not interested in GFA Veep position

Footy-ghana.com investigations reveal that Executive Committee member of the Ghana Football Association, Randy Abbey is not interested in contesting the vacant Vice-Presidential position of the GFA.

According to our well-placed sources, Abbey was indirectly approached with an offer to run for the position, but the former Emergency Committee member politely turned down the offer.

Abbey, who is currently the Chairman of the GFA’s Media Committee, becomes the second high profile personality to reject the opportunity to contest the position after Fred Pappoe, who also declined the opportunity when approached.

Presently, Hearts of Oak Chief Executive Fred Crentsil is acting as the GFA’s Vice President until a date is set for elections.
