Rajevac yet to agree Ghana deal

Ghana is yet to agree a contract extension with coach Milovan Rajevac even though the Ghana Football Association is confident they can clinch it with the Serbian's contract due to expire at the end of August.

Rajevac was engaged with negotiations with GFA officials last Saturday before flying out to Johannesburg that same evening for the international friendly.

Rajevac is seeking a significant raise in his 45,000 Euro a month salary but it is the extent of the adjustment that is stalling the negotiations.

GFA vice-president told JoyFM: "We haven't finalised it yet. We had an agreement in principle on extending the contract for four years.

"…We started the negotiations on Saturday. It was quite healthy and positive but we didn't finalise it. I am sure after the game in South Africa we would continue. We want to complete it at the end of this month," he hinted.

Rajevac has been in charge of Ghana for two years now and in that period has taken the local Black Stars to the finals of the Championships of African Nations, the finals of the Nations Cup and the quarter finals of the World Cup.
