Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink restored confidence in Ghana defender Baba Rahman by handing him playing minutes in the Blues 2-1 win at Norwich City on Tuesday night.

The 21-year-old was introduced with 21 minutes of normal time left to play and he replaced Brazilian Kenedy who scored Chelsea's first goal after just 39 seconds from kick off.

Rahman was replaced after half-time at Southampton on Saturday with manager Hiddink revealing he had to replace him at half-time after his confidence dipped as a result of a blunder in the fight-from-behind win.

Kenedy who replaced Baba at the St Mary's Stadium on Saturday held down the starting role and piled pressure on the Ghana international by scoring the opening goal for the Blues who have moved 8th and remain unbeaten in the league under Hiddink.

Tuesday night's appearance was the former Augsburg man's 7th league appearance of the season for the Premier League title-holders.
