Rabiu signs three-year deal for Russian side

Ghana midfielder Mohammed Rabiu has signed a three-year contract with Russian side Kuban Krasnodar, MTNFootball.com exclusively reveal.

The 23-year-old, who plays for French side Evian, will arrive in Russia on Tuesday to undergo medical before the deal is ratified.

Ghana's leading football news website www.ghanasoccernet.com reported on Friday that the hard-tackling midfielder had reached an agreement to move from French side Evian.

He was left out of Evian's squad that played Marseille over the weekend which clearly shows that he is on the verge of completing the switch. The players has spoken for the first since about the deal and has confirmed that he will move for a reported fee of €3 million.

"I have signed for three years and agreed personal terms. As for the money involved that is not my business," Rabiu exclusively told MTNFootball.com

"I'm ready to play in Russia and want to thank the Evian fans, coaches and players for their support."

Kuban Krasnodar are currently ninth in the Russian Premier League table after five rounds of matches.

Rabiu's future was speculated after an impressive display at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations where he made his debut. He made 29 appearances for his former side Evian TG and scored two goals last season in the French Ligue 1.
