REGSEC appeals to fans to comport themselves

Accra Jan 29, GNA - The Greater Accra Regional Security Committee (REGSEC) has appealed to supporters of Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko to comport themselves in the spirit of the game as the two sides meet in the Coca Cola Top Four Tournament on Sunday.

In a statement signed by Mr Sulley Gbadamosi, Assistant Director to the committee, on behalf of the Greater Accra Regional Minister, said in its quest for a peaceful match it was urging the fans of the two clubs to desist from any acts of soccer hooliganism before, during and after the game.

According to the REGSEC since the tournament begun a very competitive note there is going to be tight security presence at the stadium and security cameras shall be in use at vantage points of the stadium. The Committee warned that any person or group of persons who will be caught in any act of hooliganism aimed at breaching the peace at the stadium shall not be spared and will be made to face the full rigours of the law.
