Queens To Play Falcons

The national senior women’s team, the Black Queens will play their archrivals, the Super Falcons of Nigeria in four friendly matches in April as part of preparations for the Women’s World Cup in China later in the year. Two of the games will be played in Accra and Kumasi while the other two will be played in Nigeria.

Baring any hitches after the those games, the Black Queens will proceed to the United States for a training camp before they finally leave for China in September.

The Queens and the Falcons qualified for the women’s world cup after reaching the finals of the African women’s championships.

Nigeria scored a hat trick of final wins over Ghana but the latest one in Nigeria was really tough.

The coach of the Black Queens, Oko Aryee says his team will go into camping on March 1 and switch into serious mode before the Nigerians arrive in Ghana.

Oko Aryee returned from the United States on Friday night after a 6-week tour of America.
