Purejoy Stars set sight on GLO Premier League

Accra, Feb 25, GNA - Division One side, Purejoy Stars has set their sight on an early entry to the Glo Premiership as they advance their preparation towards qualification into the elite zone. The management has tagged qualification of the Club into the Premiership as a major priority and tasked their technical team to fashion out ways to achieve the goal.

Club President, Mr. Isaac Tetteh told GNA Sports that the recruitment of ace Coach Herbert Addo is one of the many things put in place to ensure their qualification. Coach Addo is expected to be assisted by a solid backroom stuff who are tasked to qualify the team to the Premiership. Mr Tetteh said "the playing body has also been transformed. We have recruited about 20 more players in addition to the 23 players that qualified the club to Division One Division last year." Meanwhile, Mohammed Alhassan, Public Relations Officer of the Club has justified the team's decision to register over 40 players for the competition that commences this weekend.

He told GNA Sports "we originally wanted to keep 33 players but the competition was keen and it was difficult to let most of the players go since most of them are young and full of potential". Purejoy Stars begin their campaign against Soccer Learners at the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex, Kaneshie on Sunday.
