Prince Buaben scores for Hearts of Midlothian

Ghanaian international midfielder Prince Buaben scored the second goal for Hearts of Midlothian in their 3-0 away win over Queen of the South in the Scottish Championship on Saturday afternoon.

The 26-year-old cleverly finished off a move he initiated in the 42nd minute to cushion the lead for the Jambos at the Palmerston Park.

Despite being on the back-foot for a spell in the first-half, the Hearts went in 2-0 up before the break thanks to an Osman Sow wonder strike and a clever run and finish from Prince Buaben.

Buaben’s finish was a true moment of quality and intelligence. He carried the ball forward, holding off three home challenges before stabbing the ball beyond Clark from the edge of the box.

Hearts could’ve had a penalty early in the second-half when Walker looked to have been brought down by Kevin Holt as he raced to the by-line, but much the referee said no – much to the dismay of the 3,000 travelling support.

It was 3-0, however, just before the hour mark. Billy King tore down the left before firing over a cross which was side-footed over the line at close range by McGhee.

Buaben, a former Ajax Amsterdam Academy graduate, has been in fine form for Hearts since the start of the season, scoring twice in six games.
