Pressure mounts on Duncan for first Kotoko win

There will be action at seven match centres when the 2015-16 Ghana Premier League enters week four on Saturday and Sunday.

Barring Medeama’s clash with Ebusua Dwarfs which has had to be rescheduled due to the former’s Caf Confederations Cup encounter with Libyan side Al-Ittihad Tripoli on Sunday, all other fourteen teams are ready to battle in earnest for three points.

Without a doubt, the weekend’s top liner comes off at the Dawu Park where third-placed Dreams FC host league leaders Wa All Stars on Saturday. The two sides, although separated by second-placed Hearts of Oak, have each picked up seven points from their opening three games.

Kenichi Yatsuhashi’s charges, on the other hand, will hope to keep up the chase at the top of the standings with three points at home over Bechem United at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Asante Kotoko are still in search of their first win of the season, and they will have to dig deep to break the jinx when they play as guests to Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park. The 23-time league champions currently sit 13th on the log.

New Edubiase and Inter Allies will each be chasing a second win of the campaign when they square off at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

At the Sekondi-Essipong Sports Stadium, Hasaacas will hope to put last weekend’s 5-0 annihilation at the hands of Wafa behind them when they play at home to reigning champions Ashanti Gold.

Aduana Stars are still winless after three round of matches, but their losing streak could be brought to an end should they hold off a stubborn Wafa side, which boasts of the league’s top scorer of four goals in the person of 19-year-old Samuel Tetteh.

At the Carl Reindorf Park in Dansoman, newly-promoted Techiman City will eye a second successive win following last weekend’s victory over Aduana Stars. That will only be possible if they can overcome Liberty Professionals at their own backyard.
