The agent of Ghana ace Anthony Annan has not ruled out a move to the Premier League, with Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal interested.

Annan, who currently plays his club football in Norway for Rosenborg, impressed at the World Cup and has already announced his desire to move to a top European club.

The three Premier League sides have been linked with a move, as have former French champions Lyon, and the English champions could have a secret weapon up their sleeves.

Blues midfielder Michael Essien missed the World Cup with an injury but could be used to persuade his fellow countryman to choose West London over Manchester.

Annan’s agent, Lars Petter Fosdahl told Sport.co.uk: “At the moment we are still searching and monitoring Anthony’s situation.

“There is interest from a few countries, and a few big clubs. It is a big ask moving from Norway to a top Premier League club, but people have succeeded in the past.

“It was only a year ago when Mame Biram Diouf went from Molde to Manchester United. I think he earned a lot of respect and he has become a more established player performing at a higher level. The move worked for him so why not?,” he added.

Annan, though, is not in any rush to leave Rosenborg and is willing to bide his time for the right offer to come his way.

Fosdahl continued: “We are not desperate to sell as it is not a big saga for us. Anthony is very professional, he even returned to training at Rosenborg a day earlier than expected after the World Cup.

“He is focused and committed to Rosenborg at the moment and very patient. At the moment a move could happen this week, or at the end of August. We will have to wait and see.”

The Norwegian Tippeligaen has been a happy hunting ground for Sir Alex Ferguson in the past, having brought Old Trafford legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from the league.

In more recent years, Diouf has joined United from Norway and has impressed in his limited first-team experiences thus far.
