Premier League programme out

THE Ghana Football Association ( GFA) has announced the programme for the second round of this year?s premier league matches.

According to the programme, the 16th and 17th week matches would be played on Sunday July 21 and 28 to be followed by a mid-week action on Wednesday, July 31. Similarly, the 19th and 20th week matches would also be honoured on Sunday, August 4 and 11, while the 21st week encounters will take place on Wednesday, August 14.

According to the GFA, all the remaining matches would be played on Sundays until the end of the season.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Retired Footballers Association (GRFA) has called on all soccer loving Ghanaians to let peace prevail during the big clash between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

The retired footballers appealed to match officials, management, supporters and sympathisers of both clubs to refrain from any act or conduct likely to undermine the peace and stability of the teams and the country in general.

?We also urge the football authorities to strengthen security to forestall troubles before, during and after the match?, they added.
