Power FC to revert to Tema

The up coming Premier League season would see Power FC relocating their home grounds from the Koforidua Park in the Eastern Region to the Tema Park.

Eric Mitchell, a management member of the club told the Soccer Express that the club had decided to switch from their present home ground to the Tema Park in order to increase revenue and cut down on cost.

The Power FC management, he says are restructuring the club and the change in location of home grounds is part of the measures being instituted by the management to make the team a model one and also become another force in Ghana soccer.

To achieve their aim of restructuring and changing the club’s image, he believes that the performance on the field would have to improve to suit the corporate sector, which is their target.

The club has turned its focus now on the youth after off loading nine players for under performing in the Kinapharma Premier League.

Players who would have to look for new jobs in the up coming season are Joseph Sowah, Sulley Nafiu, Felix Gbadegbe, Yaw Hammond, Hope Doe Aziz and Tony Emeka. The rest are Dennis Brown, Baba Nasiru Simba and Sulemana Kassim.

Eric Mitchell says, the club would not go onto the transfer market to sign on players in the premiership but would be relying on youthful players in the lower divisions, more importantly the colts leagues.

He however told the Soccer Express that it is not a gamble because the youthful players to be signed on by the Electricity team would help the team attain the standards management has set for the up coming season
