Police Arrest Scaling Spectators

The Wa police have arrested four soccer fans for scaling over the Wa Sports Stadium walls during a first division league match between Kwamax and B.A. United.

The four persons, Mohammed Iddrisu 18, Malik Ahmed 16, Salawadeen Jalladeen 11, and Abudulai Osman 15 are alleged to be notorious soccer fans that constantly scale the Stadium walls.

Speaking to the GNA in an interview on Monday, Inspector Daniel Dorkpoh, Regional Police Public Relations Officer, who masterminded the arrest said, the four have been released on bail and will soon be arraigned before court.

He warned spectator who indulge in these practices to desist from it and said the culprit would be brought to book.

The PRO further appealed to supporters of various football clubs in the regions to exhibit a high sense of discipline and tolerance during matches since the police will not countenance any acts of violence and lawlessness.

In the match itself, the visiting team B.A United gave a good account of themselves by beating Kwamex 3-1.
