Performance of Hearts of Oak not good - Mohammed Polo

Former Hearts of Oak coach Mohammed Polo believes the club still has a lot of work to do before they can challenge for trophies this season.

Hearts overcame Senegalese side Olympique N’gor away from home to progress to the next round of the Caf Confederations Cup qualifiers, but it is the Phobians’ domestic form that has raised eyebrows.

Hearts lie 14th in the 16-team league table having won just four of their 12 premier league games, with five of them resulting in losses.

“Nobody is happy at the performance of the club this season. Not the fans or management or the players themselves,” Polo told Kumasi-based Ultimate FM.

“They need to improve. I’m not saying this because I’m no longer there. It’s clear the team’s performances haven’t been good enough.”
