Black Stars striker Abdul Majeed Waris scored his 9th goal of the season in Lorient's game over the weekend in France while Kwame Karikari scored his second goal in two games for Haugesund in Norway.

There was also a brace for American-born Ghanaian Charles Sapong in the Major League Soccer while Nasiru Mohammed scored to propel BK Hacken in Sweden.

Meanwhile John Antwi scored to propel Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League and Solomon Asante came off the TP Mazembe bench to wave magic in their 1-0 win over St Georges.

Benjamin Tetteh was unused by Standard Liege who won 2-1 against Club Brugge.

18-year-old Eric Ocansey flourished in attack for AS Eupen who hammered KSV Roeselare 4-0. William Owusu played the entire game for KSV Roeselare.

Charles Akomah was in full-time action for Lierse SK in their 4-0 win over nine-man Heist.

Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah played at right-back for Anzhi who were condemned to a 4-0 defeat by visiting Spartak Moscow.

Emmanuel Frimpong was not in the FK Ufa side that lost 1-0 against Dynamo Moscow.

Rabiu Mohammed lasted the entire period of the game for Kuban Krasnodar when they travelled away to lose 2-0 at CSKA Moscow.

Emmanuel Boateng came off the bench to play for LA Galaxy in their 3-1 win over San Jose Earthquakes. Ghanaian American international Gyasi Zardes scored twice for Galaxy.

Adam Kwarasey manned the post for Portland Timbers in their 2-2 draw with nine-man Real Salt Lake. Amass Amankona was not in the Lake squad for the game.

Dominic Oduro played 85 minutes for Montreal Impact in their 2-0 away loss at FC Dallas.

Striker Nana Poku played for Misr Elmaqasah who lost 1-0 at Congolese side Don Bosco but progressed on a 3-2 aggregate in the Confederation Cup.

Solomon Asante came off the bench to win the penalty to TP Mazembe and helped them beat St Georges 1-0. Yaw Frimpong and Daniel Nii Adjei both played for Mazembe.

CYPRUS

Razak Nuhu was not in the Anothorsis Famagusta side that lost 4-1 against Apollon Limassol.

Chris Dickson scored the only goal of the game Ermis when they won 1-0 against Paphos. Ulyss Ndong came off the bench to play for Ermis in the game.

Carlos Ohene was a second-half substitute for AEL Limassol in their 2-2 draw with Aris.

BULGARIA

Attacker Francis Narh played the entire 90 minutes for Levski Sofia in their 0-0 draw at Slavia Sofia.

GREECE

Michael Essien was unused by Panathinaikos who won 4-0 over Iraklis.

Godfred Donsah was unused by nine-man Bologna who lost 2-0 at Atalanta. Patrick Asmah was not in the Atalanta squad for the game.

Juventus returned to winning ways in the Serie A after beating Torino 4-1. Kwadwo Asamoah was unused but Afriyie Acquah played the entire match for Torino and was yellow carded.

Latina and Brescia shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw on Saturday. Ghana pair of Maxwell Acosty Boadu and Richmond Boakye-Yiadom both started the game for Latina while Amidu Salifu came off the bench to play for Brescia.

Midfielder Prince Besea warmed the bench Modena in their surprising 2-1 home loss against Como.

Defender Awal Mohammed played the full 90 minutes for Raja Casablanca who won 2-1 against Hoceima.

NORWAY

Striker Kwame Karikari continued his fine scoring form for Haugesund by coming off the bench to score in their 3-0 win over Aalesund. Midfielder Derrick Mensah came off their bench to play the last 8 minutes of the game. Dutch-born Edwin Gyasi played 67 minutes for the losers.

Bismark Adjei-Boateng and Mohammed Abu were in action for Stromsgodset who slipped to a 1-0 loss at Rosenborg BK.

Gilbert Koomson and Mahatma Otoo started the game for Sogndal IF in their 1-0 win over Valerenga on Sunday.

Ernest Asante and Kamal Issah started for Stabaek IF in their 2-1 home loss against Molde. On-loan Shadrach Eghan came off the bench to replace Kamal in the game.
