Patrons urged to dissolve Oly board of directors

Accra, Feb. 16 GNA - Captain Victus Amenyedor, (Rtd) a former Chairman of the Interim Management Committee(IMC) of Accra Great Olympics FC has called on the patrons to dissolve the board of directors and to float shares to enable the club get more money for this year's league season.

He said "until the board is dissolved and new stakeholders take over affairs of the club to appoint the new management to run the club, the supporters would continue to live in constant state of disappointment during matches because there was no unity among them".

Capt. Amenyedor who spoke to the GNA Sports at Mamprobi Salvation Park on Saturday, also expressed regret of the latest crisis in the club when other clubs were preparing feverishly towards this year's league season.

He attributed the club's poor performance last year to lack of co-operation between the board members themselves, the IMC and the technical handlers.

Capt. Amenyedor said "people are ready to invest into the club but because of the selfish interest of some few elements in the team, the club could not recapture it's lost past glories."

In a division two league match at the Salvation Park, Town Council Line, Bravo Bravo were held to a 0-0 drawn game by Oblogo River Boyz.
