President of Tema Youth, Wilfred Osei Palmer, has expressed his delight concerning its legal case against Dreams FC for fielding an unqualified player in the 2014/2015 Division One League.

The Appeals Committee of the Ghana Football Association on Wednesday delivered its verdict, declaring Tema Youth victors in the case regarding the eligibility of Dreams FC’s Cudjoe Mensah who featured in the clash between the two sides.

According to the Palmer, it has been a long journey of persistent perseverance to illuminate the truth concerning the case especially with regards to the financial difficulties in filling.

“I’m very much happy now because the journey that we started that nobody gave us a chance, a journey that we started that all sorts of insinuations were cast on my very person as Wilfred Osei and that of my club that were express to even my financial capacity, but when God is in control, you don’t need a lot of resources,” Osei Palmer told Happy FM.

He added: “I’m very grateful that the players, the technical team and the club to have imposed confidence in me. I showed and demonstrated leadership at that level that irrespective of difficulties in the system, I was able to hold the fort. In the face of financial difficulties, the money to pay for the CAS filing and even to still compete in the league, was very difficult to operate.

“Last year by this time, I had given up hope but I something told that, at the end of the tunnel my light will shine.”
