Ghana midfielder Enock Adu Kofi was in action for Malmo FF when they succumbed to a 2-0 loss against French giants Paris Saint-Germain in the Uefa Champions League on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old lasted 85 minutes at the Parc des Princes as PSG went up and running in Group A after being inspired to a 2-0 win against the Swedish Allsvenskan title-holders by new signing Ángel Di María.

Adu and Malmo travelled to France to begin their second Champions League group stage challenge in two seasons with high hopes of upsetting the Ligue 1 champions but ended the night empty handed.

Former Real Madrid stars Angel di Maria harassed the Swedish defence and tormented them in front of goal after netting the opener in just 4 minutes.

The Argentinian international was not done impressing either, and regained possession before setting up Gregory van der Wiel to swing in a cross that Ibrahimovi headed over.

He then freed the Malmo native with a lofted ball that forced Johan Wiland to come out and smother a trademark flicked effort from the No10.

Uruguayan Edson Cavani severed the game off for the Paris giants in the 61st minute with a brilliant strike to consign the visitors to the defeat and make them wait for their matchday two home tie against 10-time winners Real Madrid on September 30.
