PRESS STATEMENT: Use Of Media Centre During Kotoko Games

The Management of Asante Kotoko SC have outlined new measures to sanitize the media centre of the Baba Yara Stadium during their home games in the coming 2011/2012 glo Premier League season.

“As part of pragmatic plans to enhance the already cordial relationship between Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC and the media, management has decided to take absolute control of all the media areas at the Baba Yara Stadium during our games.

This move means that, only Sports related media personnel accredited by their media houses would be allowed entry to the Press areas.

This is to rid the Press areas of individuals who chance into the respected media areas and end up influencing the journalistic duties of our media friends.

Asante Kotoko does have massive respect for the media and would love to see them do their job while on duty covering our games without influence and interferences from any quarters whatsoever.

We would also want to be able to support the media in the performance of their duties by supplying them the needed accessories, including team sheets, post match interviews, water and any other assistance as may be required of us on any given game.

We would be grateful if our cherished fans who throng our games would respect this decision.

The media are also gracefully requested to attend our games with the required accreditations to help the process.

Your avowed co-operation is sportingly appreciated.”

Yours in the Sports arena,

Listowell Yesu Bukarson,

Public and Supporters Relations Manager.
