Out-of-favour Anthony Annan scores in Schalke pre-season

Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan got on the score sheet for Schalke 04 in their 25-0 whitewashing of Rügen Select XI in a pre-season friendly on Friday.

The Former Accra Hearts of Oak player converted an 87th minute penalty to make the scoring 24-0 in a goal-bath game.

The 24-year-old has has vowed to fight for a place at the Veltins-Arena despite the Royals Blues insisting they want to offload him.

Compatriot Hans Adu-Sarpei scored twice in the 62nd and 89th minutes.

Meanwhile German-born Ghanaian youngster Alban Sabah who has been promoted to the senior team took part in the game.
