Osam Duodu wants place on GFA Technical Committee

Former Black Stars coach Fred Osam Duodu wants to be appointed to the technical Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The vastly experienced Osam Duodu who notably led the Black Satellites to a runner-up finish at U-20 world level both in 1993 and 2001, has told Pravda Sports on 93.5 FM he wants the GFA to bring him on board to assist Oti Akenteng and former FA boss Ben Kuofie.

“I’m senior member of British Coaches Association and in Brazil, even (octogenarian Mario) Zagallo is part of their Technical Committee. With all the knowledge that I have and as a Ghanaian you don’t use me, then how can you explain?” the 1978 Africa Cup of Nations winning coach quizzed.

The legendary Ghanaian coach, who is also a CAF and FIFA instructor, further insists his rich experience could help the various national teams during scouting exercises before crucial tournaments. “Football is experience, football is achievement.

“I have attended competitions more than anybody in Ghana. I’ve been to tournaments with all the national teams, I have been to the Nations’ Cup with the Black Stars, I have been Secretary General of the GFA,” Mr. Osam Duodu explained.
