Dutch-born Ghanaian forward Johnathan Opoku Agyemang scored his 7th goal of the season when his VVV Venlo side pummeled Helmond Sport 4-1 in the Dutch second-tier league on Friday evening.

The 25-year-old talented striker added his name to the score-sheet at the Lavans Stadion with a clinical finishing on the 74th minute mark.

Opoku had been involved twice for Venlo as the Pride of the South recovered from a goal down to tilt the first department in their favour.

His goal was a good striker's goal. After being played through the box, he resisted a strong challenge from a Helmond defender to power the ball to his target to register the fourth goal of the tie for Venlo who are now second on the second-tier table.

Opoku has scored seven league goals to contribute the promotion hopes of the club also known as the Good Old.

Opoku joined Venlo from Oss before the start of the Dutch season and has featured in 25 league games but has scored just under half of the goals he scored last season (16) for Oss.

He scored against Dordrecht on Monday and has repeated the feat within a five-day interval.
