'Operation six points' launched

Government has pledged its full commitment to ensure that Ghana qualifies for football?s World Cup tournament in Germany next year.

The nation?s hopes of qualifying for the tournament were kept alive by the Black Stars? 2-nil victory over South Africa in Johannesburg on Saturday.

President John Kufuor has also declared an ?Operation Six Points? to ensure that the national team wins the two remaining matches in the qualifying series.

Deputy Sports Minister, O. B. Amoah, says the operation is to demonstrate to the members of the national team that they have the support of the entire nation behind them.
