Opeele wants all Starlets issues directed to head coach

Isaac Adade Boateng AKA Opeele who has just been confirmed assistant coach of the national U-17 football team is directing journalists and others seeking information and others concerning the team to speak to head coach Paa Kwasi Fabin. Opeele is adamant he is just a deputy working in a team headed by Fabin, insisting it’s the head coach who is in charge.

Opeele cites a previous experience as reason behind his stand because he doesn’t want any misunderstanding of roles and positions. He told ALL SPORTS: “I don’t want distort of information. I’ve had that problem as assistant coach before so I want the media to direct all questions and enquiries to the head coach.”

Opeele however is very clear on the mode of operation to be adopted by the new Black Starlets technical team in recruitment of players.

“What I can say is that we will be fair, even our own sons will have to justify to deserve their inclusion. We want the best team for Ghana and it can be achieved only when we are fair with player recruitment,” Opeele said.

He added: “I want to be left alone because when I was sacked at King Faisal, nobody called me. I was left alone. Now the world should leave me alone to focus on the job I have to do for Ghana.”
