Laryea Kingston and Emmanuel Agyemang Badu don’t deserve their respective exclusions from Ghana ’s 23-man squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, according to Coach Opeele.

Former Asante Kotoko, Kessben FC and Tema Youth helmsman Isaac ‘Opeele’ Boateng has told 90 MINUTES of his surprise and disappointment after the two were dropped in the final list submitted by coach Milovan Rajevac.

“Laryea is an old head and his experience will be needed on the field because he can come in and make a difference. It pains and baffles me that he won’t play for Ghana because he is a very good player.

"We all know in 2006, he missed the show because of suspension but this time the man has grown and the experience is valuable,” Opeele pointed out to us.

Opeele also disclosed that he will soon come out with his findings that reveal Ghana ’s group at the World Cup as the easiest. The coach therefore does not expect any excuses from the team because of the injury problems they have faced.

He further questioned the rationale behind the drop of U-20 World Cup winning star Emmanuel Agyemang Badu who was due to recover from his injury at least ten days before Ghana ’s opening fixture against Serbia .

“If they are giving John Mensah the chance to sit out of the two friendly games in order for him to recover then why drop Agyemang Badu who will be back by 4th June?

"In the absence of Michael Essien, Agyemang Badu is even more important to our success than John Mensah so I am very disappointed.

"Anthony Annan was given the same privilege at Angola 2010 so why couldn’t Agyemang Badu be included in the squad awaiting his recovery,” he asked.
