Omanhene of Wassa Fiase sends goodwill message to Black Stars

Osagyefo Dr. Nana Kwamena Enimil, the Omanhene of the Wassa Fiase Traditional Area in Tarkwa in the Western Region has sent a goodwill message to players and officials of the national soccer team ahead of their second group match at the World Cup against Australia on Saturday.

In the message sent through Goldfields Ghana Limited, Headline Sponsors of the Black Stars whose major area of operation is Tarkwa, Osagyefo Dr. Nana Enimil wished the national team good luck as they prepare to face the Australians knowing that victory will seal qualification to the next stage of the competition.

“Football is the only game that brings Ghanaians together peacefully irrespective of their political background or other interests. Therefore the team’s success from the group stages to the next level of the tournament would be a great joy not only to the people of Wassa Fiase and Ghana but Africa as a whole,” the message stated.

The Omanhene added: “The Black Stars have already made the nation proud by beating Serbia in their first match in South Africa and I am proud of the splendid performance they put up last Sunday.

“I therefore have no doubt that the team is capable and will qualify to the next stage of the competition. It is my hope that they will avoid complacency so as to make Ghana and Africa proud because Ghana is now the hope of Africa.

“I also hope all Ghanaians will pray that God grants the team courage to accomplish the desire of Ghana and Africa,” concluded the Omahene of Wassa-Fiase (Tarkwa).
