Olympics team manager banned for misconduct

An official of Accra Great Olympics, Nii Ayi Mensah has been banned from taking part in any football-related activity for six (6) weeks (from the start of the 2014/2015 season).

Ayi Mensah who is the team manager of the club was found guilty by the GFA Disciplinary committee for throwing stones into supporters of Okwahu United F/C during a Division One Middle League match played between the two sides in April.

He was as a result charged for misconduct and violence under articles 35(1) a and b of the F.A. General Regulations.

Having been found guilty of the offence preferred against him, Nii Ayi Mensah is also to pay a fine of Five Hundred Ghana Cedis (GHC 500.00).
