Olympics fans call for Sackey sacking

Fans of Accra Great Olympics have called for coach Nii Adu Sackey to be sacked by Wednesday otherwise they will boycott matches.

Some of waited at the El Wak Sports Stadium for four hours on Sunday night threatening to physically assault the coach.

This was after the club suffered a painful 1-0 defeat at the hands of visiting Real Tamale United, leaving the club firmly rooted at the bottom of the league table.

A goal by Shilla Alhassan with only two minutes remaining handed RTU their first away win of the season, condemning the Dade Boys.

Some fans Ghanasoccernet.com spoke with say they will not attend future matches if Sackey is not sacked by the next round of matches on Wednesday

Numerous fans of the club complained that Sackey's tactics have not helped the club and his continued stay could send the club to the lower division for the second time in four seasons.

The coach was whisked away through the back door to avoid an ugly confrontation with fans, who were lying in wait.

"I am waiting for him to appear otherwise I won't go home tonight. I want to teach Nii Adu Sackey a lesson," a fan threatened.

Olympics management will meet later on Monday to decide the future of the coach.
