Olympics Sign Duo Before Deadline

Troubled Accra Great Olympics managed to beat the Ghanaian transfer deadline with the signings of Shamo Abbey and Augustine Amponsah on loan.

The duo failed to break into the Asante Kotoko first team for the season and will welcome a fresh challenge.

Abbey was put on the transfer list by the club's management at the beginning of last season while Amponsah was axed from the team after he ignored the club's disciplinary rules by playing in a friendly match - where he broke his arm. After recovering from the injury, he was asked to leave the club's training grounds by the coach, Ernst Middendorp, when he turned up for training.

The two players would be on loan for the rest of the season after which a deal might be signed by both clubs.
