Oly warn Hearts

PREMIER league side, Accra Great Olympics have given city rivals, Hearts of Oak an ultimatum of seven days to settle the ?40 million debt to Olympics as a result of their transaction on the transfer of Laryea Kingston (pictured) and Samuel Monnie.

The two player were transferred from Olympics to Hearts at the beginning of the current season at a total fee of ?90 million with Hearts paying ?50 million of the total figure.

In a letter signed by chairman R. O. Solomon and dated September 10, 2002, Olympics indicated that “if payment is not made within seven (7) days from the date of this letter, we shall take all steps within the law to recover the debt.”

The letter, which was addressed to the Chief Executive of Hearts said it seems clear to us now that you have no intention of paying the debt and that our demands are not making any impact on you.” “We make this final demand for the amount,” it said.
