Okwawu and Goldfields match aborted

The outstanding Star Premier League match between Okwawu United and Goldfields scheduled for the Nkawkaw Park did not come off because appointed officials for the match failed to turn up.

The appointed referee, Buckman Yanney from Saltpond as well as the match commissioner from Ho failed to turn up.

After inspection of the two teams by the two assistant referees, Raymond Cudjoe and Julius Sowah, the fourth referee Isaac Yeboah Acheampong, decided to send assistant referee Cudjoe to handle the match whiles he acts as the second assistant referee.

This arrangement did not go down well with officials of Goldfields and they refused to play.
