Hearts of Oak Strategic Committee member Vincent Odotei-Sowah says the win over Edubiase was a result of collective team effort from the Board, Technical team, playing body, and fans of the club.

Hearts started the 2016 Ghana Premier League season with a 1-0 win over bogey-side Edubiase United at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Strategic Committee member Odotei-Sowah witnessed the game in the company of the Board Chairman Togbe Afede XIV, and he says the whole team deserve credit for the victory over Edubiase.

"I think it's a whole team work," Odotei told accraheartsofoak.com after the game. "I think the Board, the Management team, the Technical team, the players, and the fans deserve credit for the win.

"Hearts have really had a lot of bad press and a lot of bad times, so it's a collective effort to ensure that at least we register the first win.

"I will congratulate everybody from the Board Chairman, members of the Board, the Technical team – coach Keni and his boys, the captain – and my colleagues on the Strategic Committee. I mean it's been a collective work to ensure that at least we were victorious today."
