Obed Ansah needs $5k for knee surgery

Former Black Meteors and Hearts of Oak playmaker Obed Ansah is in dire need of $5000 for a knee surgery to save his career.

The talented midfielder has been out of action for close to a year after sustaining an injury whilst playing for the Phobians and is struggling to raise money for the surgery after his contract with the Rainbow Club was terminated.

“My contract with Hearts has been terminated so I am free to go to any club of my choice but I need to undertake surgery on my knee, according to my doctor which will cost $5000 and I don’t have money so I am always in the house,” Ansah lamented to Goal Ghana.

“I will be glad if someone can help me raise the amount for the surgery as I want to play again,” he appealed.

One of the naturally talented players in his generation, the former Kpando Heart of Lions and Hearts talisman played alongside Asamoah Gyan, Isaac Vorsah, Prince Tagoe, Bernard Kumordzi, Jerry Akaminko, Kwadwo Asamoah, Anthony Annan and others for the Black Meteors in 2008 under Coach Cecil Attuquayefio.

He is well remembered for his 35-yard stunner against South Africa.
