Obed Ansah apologises to Hearts of Oak

Hearts of Oak midfielder Obed Ansah has apologised to the club for accusing the management of neglecting him.

Ansah granted an interview to Accra-based Radio Gold in which he accused the club's management of not taking enough interest in him during his injury layoff.

The midfielder has thus issued a statement of apology, retracting his earlier comments and admitting to having breached club discipline.

OBED ANSAH'S APOLOGY LETTER

After a careful consideration of the interview I granted to Radio Gold last week in which I accused my Club Accra Hearts of Oak of having neglected me, I wish to retract those comments and apologize sincerely to the Club.

I do admit having breached Club discipline and acted unprofessionally by granting an unauthorized interview.

It would be recalled that I mentioned in the said interview that the Managing Director was the only person who was showing some interest in my condition.

The Managing Director being the head of Management, his show of concern clearly makes my claim of having been neglected by the Club untenable. Indeed, I have been making regular visits to the Club’s doctors in the company of the Welfare Officer, Mr. Nat Ofosu.

I made those comments out of extreme frustration at my protracted ill-health. Nevertheless, I recognize my error.

I therefore retract my accusations and apologize unreservedly to the Club and its numerous fans for the embarrassment that my comments may have caused.
