Nuru Sulley hopes to gatecrash AFCON squad

Defender Nuru Sulley believes his move to Libyan side Al Ittihad Tripoli can help him gatecrash Ghana’s squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

The former Hearts of Oak player signed a three-year deal after a reported move to Libyan outfit Al Nasr collapsed.

Sulley was a star performer at the 2014 African Nations Championship and believes he has the credentials to feature for the senior national team.

“I believe that with this move I will be able to get a call up before the AFCON starts,” the tough centre-back is quoted by sportscrusader.com

“We all want to play for Ghana but the competition is very strong and also my inactiveness has also been an issue,”

But Sulley’s dream might not come to fruition with the delay start to the Libyan Premier League.
