No time to play - Osei tells Kotoko players

Asante Kotoko coach Michael Osei has urged his side to put their recent woes behind in their quest to revive their fortunes.

Currently fifth on the log, the Porcupine Warriors have endured a disappointing run in the second round of the Ghana Premier League, winning just once, drawing four times and losing twice.

Osei took over the Kotoko job on an interim basis after matchday six in the wake of an uninspiring start to the championship. Kotoko, at the time, sat bottom of the table.

“This is no time to play," Osei was quoted as saying by the club's official website.

"We experienced a similar situation earlier this season. We were able to get out of it. We must not get back there again. Concentrate fully on the game.

“The points in the eight remaining games can turn things around if really we want to win the league as planned before the season started."

Kotoko play Dreams on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

Osei added: "Let’s go all out. Let’s avoid further slips because we don’t have room for it.

"Our next game against Dreams FC. It’s a must win game."

Kotoko's last outing ended in a 2-1 defeat to New Edubiase.
