No room for Joe Dodoo in Black Stars squad

Leicester City youngster Joe Dodoo will not join the Black Stars squad to Mauritius despite joining the team in training.

Dodoo trained with the team at the Accra Sports Stadium even though he was not named in coach Avram Grant’s 23-man squad.

This development sparked rumours about whether his involvement with the team and whether he was replacing Italy-based midfielder Alfred Duncan whose flight to Ghana delayed due to bad weather.

“Joe Dodoo decided to train with the Black Stars after returning to Ghana on holidays,” GFA spokesperson Ibrahim Saanie Daara told Graphic Sports

“He is not in the team yet because he was not invited by the coach. He will not replace Alfred as speculated but I think his involvement with the team will him after his nationality switch,” he added.
