Nii Saka appointed CEO of Chorkor Blue Whale BSC

*2010 SWAG award winner for kick boxing, Nii Saka Mankralo I of Sakaman has called on traditional leaders to contribute to the development of sports in Ghana as the citizens have proved to be very talented and skilful.***

Making an acceptance after he was appointed the Chief Executive and member of the technical committee of Chorkor based Blue Whales Beach Soccer Club, he said sports is a tool that can be used for many opportunities. He noted that the vast beaches in Accra should be utilised positively also in the areas of tourism and sports.

According to Nii Saka, keeping the beaches tidy for beach soccer can contribute to the national cause and he appealed to people who defecate at the beaches to put a stop to the bad practice.

Joseph Mingle, as he is also called, congratulated Zoil of Zoomlion who clean and clear the beaches, asking them to be extra vigilant and support in the arrest of illegal sand winners.

“Sand winning can cause much damage to the environment, I want to kindly appeal to sand winners to put a stop since it affects the foundation of the sea,” he said.

“The sea is the source of lively hood for many people and why should you spoil what gives you life, we have to keep the beach clean because we also swim and it’s not good to bath in dirty water,” Nii Saka advised.

Nii Saka who has been financing the Chorkor Blue Whales since they started playing in the Division One of the Ghana Beach Soccer Association (GBSA) League expressed optimism that his boys would qualify to the CAL Bank Premiership.

He tasked the GBSA to appoint referees who would be free and fair to all the clubs participating in the leagues.

In another development, Nii Oshipi of New Mamprobi has also been appointed the Organiser of the Blue Whales. He said the position is another great chance to serve his people. He said since he is a keen sports enthusiast and a born winner, he will do all within his capacity to ensure that the Blue Whales BSC is counted among the best clubs in Ghana.

Also known as Nii Adotey Allotey, he adviced the players to be disciplined and take their training very serious as their training would make them perfect.

In addition, ace sportswriter Prince Dornu- Leiku of the ALL SPORTS newspaper *www.sportsinghana.com* fame has been appointed PRO and Media Officer in the interim.
