Nigeria Spy On SA, Black Stars

The three wise old men currently serving as think-tank to the Super Eagles technical crew are sparing no effort in ensuring that the Nigerian team emerge eventual winners of the championship.

The wise men, comprising of the newly appointed Technical Director of the NFA, Adegboyega Onigbinde, Paul Hamilton and Christo Davies were on an espionage mission to Segou yesterday to watch the Group B tie between the Black Stars of Ghana and the Bafana Bafana of South Africa which ended goaless.

Their mission to Segou became necessary as Nigeria is likely to meet either of the two countries in the quarter final stage of the champioship. While in Segou, the veteran coaches collated dossiers on both teams and are expected to brief Eagles technical crew led by Coach Amodu Shuaibu on how best to tame any of the teams in the quarter final match.

Teams playing in Group B are South Africa, Ghana, Morocco and Burkina Faso.

By virtue of their pedigrees South Africa and Ghana may likely advanced from the group to the next stage of the championship.[ACONS]
