New dimension in the crisis of the Olympics Management team

Accra, Feb 9, GNA - The recent management crisis in premier league side, Accra Great Olympics has taken a new dimension as a new set of Interim Management Committee (IMC) members has been appointed to run the affairs of the club.

The appointment was made on Monday, February 9, in a statement signed by Mr Ernest Appatu Plange, a Director and a majority shareholder of the club copied to the GNA Sports.

According to the statement, Mr Fred Pappoe, a member of the previous management team will chair the four-member committee, which includes Mr John Teye, Mr Fritz Baffour and Mr Jerry Djangmah. Mr Appatu Plange stated that the decision to appoint a new IMC to run the team is to avoid a vacuum in the administration of the club adding that, the IMC appointed by the Board of Directors on February 6, is invalid.

He said, he was not present at the said meeting as a majority shareholder, therefore the management team appointed by the board should stay away from the club to avoid any embarrassment.
