Ghana defender Nathaniel Adjei was named the best player during FC Lorient 1-0 hard fought victory against RC Lens in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday.

Adjei was at the heart of Lorient’s defensive effort, showing composure, strength and excellent reading of the game to help his side keep a clean sheet against a formidable Lens outfit.

His outstanding performance earned him an impressive 8.1 rating, the highest of any player in the match, highlighting his significant influence in Lorient’s crucial victory.

The commanding display further underlines Adjei’s growing importance to Lorient, with the Ghanaian continuing to establish himself as one of the club’s most reliable defenders in the French top-flight.

Against the reigning French Cup champions, Adjei once again proved that he can rise to the occasion on the biggest stage, producing a Man of the Match-calibre performance in Lorient’s narrow win.

The 23-year-old has started the season in great shape for the Orange lads, playing full throttle in all their three games in the league so far.

He is expected to keep his place when Lorient welcome Toulouse to the Stade du Moustoir next Saturday.
