NPP expresses disappointment at refusal of hearts board ...

...to receive presents on behalf of the team

The New Patriotic Party has expressed disappointment at the refusal of the management and playing body of Accra hearts of oak to receive some gifts it intended to present to the team.

In a release issued today the NPP said for the past one week it has been arranging for the its flagbearer, Mr. J.A. Kuffour to present some gifts to the team to the team but unfortunately its efforts have been frustrated by Mr. Ato Ahwoi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hearts.

The statement said Mr. Ato Ahwoi is politicising an issue, which is a national event. It added that football like any sport is a unifying factor and a win for hearts is a win for the whole nation.
