NPP donates to World Vision Soccer club

Coaltar (E/R), Oct. 13, GNA - The NPP executives of Ayensuano constituency in the Suhum-Kraboa-Coaltar District on Sunday presented sports equipment worth 11 million cedis to the World Vision Stars football club at a ceremont at Coaltar.

The kits are a set of jerseys, six footballs, and a first aid box. Presenting the items, Mr Godfred Otchere, Member of Parliament for Ayensuano and Mr Emmanuel Dartey, NPP Chairman for the constituency said the items were their donation towards sports development in the area. Barimah Owusu II, Coaltarhene and live patron of the club who received the items on behalf of the club commended the donors for their kind gesture.

Barimah Owusu appealed to sports enthusiasts and philanthropists from the area to come to the aid of the club.

In a friendly football encounter to mark the occasion, World Vision Stars beat Ntowkrom Sharp Arrow by a lone goal scored by skipper Kofi Asare in the dying minutes of the game.
