Mylik Classic Tournament fixed for November

Accra, May 19, GNA 96 Mylik Sports, organisers of Mylik Classic juvenile soccer tournament has fixed the next edition of the competition for November 18 to 26.

This year=92s tournament is meant for Under-19 juvenile teams and 12 teams are expected to participate in the event.

Mr Kofi Bawuah, Chief Executive Officer of Mylik Sports in a statement copied to the GNA Sports said that the winners and runners up of each group, as well as third placed teams would gain automatic qualification to the quarter final stage of the competition. The tournament is aimed at identifying talents and to provide the platform for the youth to gain the needed exposure for the competitive stage.

It is also to set the stage for systematic progression of gifted young footballers and to instil confidence and discipline into young players.

According Mr Bawuah, this years tournament will witness en expansion in the format with the 12 Clubs being divided into three groups with four clubs in each group.

The tournament fixed for the Nicholson Stadium, Burma Camp, will see the over-all winner of the competition taking home a magnificent trophy and cash prize.

Prizes will also be given to outstanding individuals who would excel during the competition.

Mylik Sports has therefore extended an invitation to interested clubs to register for the competition. According to the organisers, the first 12 teams to register will be considered for the tournament.
