'My side played match of convenience' - Coach hints

Berekum Chelsea Berekum Chelsea

Berekum Chelsea coach Solomon Ojoe has suggested that his side played a match of convenience against Great Olympics on Wednesday.

The Wonder club miraculously secured a massive 4-2 win over third-placed Chelsea as they look to storm out of the relegation zone.

But Chelsea coach Solomon Ojoe says his effect as a coach for Chelsea on the sidelines was reduced to a mere spectator as the team refused to play competitively.

“The game was very competitive until a point where I realized that I saw that I had no effect on the game anymore,” he said after the game.

“It was obvious, very obvious that I could no longer give directions so I became a mere spectator only waiting for the final whistle for us to go home.

“The goals in the game were just too many. If the game was being played competitively, trust me, the result would have been different.”
