Ghana’s Albert Adomah has begun dreaming about the possibility of playing in the glamorous English Premier League as he continues to help his Club side Middlesborough push for a promotion berth into the elite division of English football.

It has been hard work to realise his dream of becoming a professional footballer, but after scoring one in Boro’s 4-1 victory over Ipswich Town on Saturday, the 27-year-old is on the brink of promotion to the top-flight.

Speaking to the TheFA.com after Saturday’s win, Adomah said, “The last few games we have struggled. We lost against Nottingham Forest, but today gave us a chance to put it right and get three points and we’ve done that.

Adomah has been dancing up and down Boro’s flank since his arrival from Bristol City in 2013, and his performances led to his inclusion for Ghana’s World Cup squad in Brazil last summer.

He missed out on Ghana’s final 23 man squad for the recently ended African Cup of Nations played in Equatorial Guinea but he doesn’t seem perturbed, adding that he believes he will gain a recall into the team in the near future.

Adomah is now eying qualification into the EPL and was emphatic in telling that to TheFA.com.

“That was like eight or nine years ago. Back then, when I was playing football in non-league, I never thought that I’d be playing at international or even Championship level you know,” he recalled.

“And my next ambition is the Premier League.”
